1. Contractual Conditions

Confirming a booking with Butterfly Bike Rentals certifies the customer’s full agreement with the following terms and conditions.

2. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings must be confirmed through our website booking form or by direct contact with our team.

A reservation is only confirmed upon receipt of a 20% deposit, paid via our secure payment platform (credit card).

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 60 days before the rental start date.

If the rental start date is less than 60 days away at the time of booking, the full amount is due immediately.

3. Cancellation Policy

• More than 60 days before rental: The deposit will be refunded as a credit note, valid for one year from the date of issue, to be applied to a future rental.
• Between 30 and 60 days before rental: 50% of the deposit will be refunded as a credit note. The remaining 50% will be retained as a cancellation fee.
• Less than 30 days before rental: No refund will be issued.

No payments are refundable in cash. We strongly recommend taking out private travel cancellation insurance to protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances.

In the event of a cancellation by Butterfly Bike Rentals, all payments made will be fully refunded to the customer.

4. Insurance & Liability

Customers are strongly encouraged to take out personal medical insurance and travel insurance prior to their rental. Butterfly Bike Rentals cannot be held responsible for personal injury, loss or theft of personal belongings during the rental period.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are required to comply with all local laws and road regulations, follow safety guidelines provided by our team and ride responsibly throughout their rental period.

6. Our Commitment

Butterfly Bike Rentals undertakes to provide the quality of service described on this website and in all related communications. In the event of any issue arising during your rental, our team will do everything possible to resolve the situation promptly and fairly.

7. Rental Requirements

To rent a motorcycle with Butterfly Bike Rentals, customers must meet the following conditions:

• Be at least 25 years old
• Hold a valid motorcycle licence with a minimum of 3 years’ validity
• Present a valid passport or national ID
• Have solid motorcycle riding experience
• Pay a security deposit by credit card at pick-up

Security Deposits

The deposit will be released upon return of the motorcycle, subject to a condition check confirming no damage has occurred. In the event of damage during the rental period, the cost of repairs (parts and labour) will be charged to the customer up to the full amount of the corresponding deposit.

8. Insurance Coverage

All rentals include third-party liability insurance covering personal injury, property damage and financial loss. Maximum coverage for personal injury is subject to the guarantees applicable under Moroccan law. Coverage is limited to Moroccan territory.

In the event of an at-fault accident, parking damage, motorcycle theft or a hit-and-run by a third party, the customer will be liable for costs up to the full amount of the security deposit.

The customer is solely responsible for any breach of the highway code or public order. Butterfly Bike Rentals is exempt from all related costs and fines.

Premium Insurance — Free Care Package

Customers may opt for our Free Care Package, which reduces the security deposit as follows:

9. Breakdown Assistance

Our assistance team is available for the entire duration of your rental period.

In the event of a mechanical breakdown for which the customer is not responsible, Butterfly Bike Rentals undertakes to replace the motorcycle within 12 hours of the request, at no additional cost.

In the event of a breakdown caused by rider error, use of an unauthorised route or an accident requiring mechanical assistance, all costs incurred (transport, handling, accommodation and meals for the assistance team, repairs and spare parts) will be charged to the customer, up to the limit of the deposit paid at the time of booking.

10. Motorcycle Use

Our motorcycles are intended for use on paved roads only. Riding on unauthorised off-road terrain will result in the immediate cancellation of any Free Care Package, with the standard deposit applying in full.
